  • Individual is not an LATA member, but will receive CEU's
  • This ticket is reserved for those who are retired athletic trainers who no longer need to submit CEU's. Must be considered a "retired" member of the LATA.
  • This event will take place on 6/4/25 at LSU's Huey P. Long Fieldhouse. If wanting to participate in the Thursday event, plus LATA, you must add the Thursday event to your registration at the end of the process.

Thursday 6/4:

  • 11A-4P: Registration Open
  • 1P-4P: Workshop: "Adult Menta Health First Aid Training" (separate registration-3 CEU's)
    • Join us for a collaborative session with Dr. Kirsten Cunha from LSU’s Masters in Athletic Training Program, where you’ll learn how—just as CPR helps you assist someone in cardiac arrest—Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) equips you to support individuals experiencing a mental health or substance use–related crisis.
    • This course will result in an Adult Mental Health First Aid Certificate through the National Council for Mental Wellbeing
    • This additional lecture series is limited to 24 registrants.

  • 5P-6:30P: LATA Business Meeting @ The Marriott of Baton Rouge (All Members Welcome)
  • 7P: Welcome Social at The Marriott
    • Attendees will receive one complimentary drink ticket (included with event registration) for beer or wine. After the tickets are used, the event will transition to a cash bar. Additionally, heavy hors d'oeuvres will be provided.

Early registration for the Symposium will open on April 1, 2026 (closes June 3, 2026) and will be based on the individual's current membership status with the LATA (questions regarding membership should be forwarded to latasecretary@gmail.com BEFORE processing online registration):

TARGET AUDIENCE:  Athletic Trainers

According to the educational levels described by the NATA's Professional Education Committee, this continuing education symposia offered is considered to be "Essential/Advanced" Levels

Education Symposium Cancellation/refund policy

Cancellations received at least 14 days before the event are 100% refundable; 0-14 days before the event are 50% refundable There will be no refund made the day of the event. If participants register and do not attend, they are still responsible for full payment. Participants will need to contact LATA Treasurer with a request for refund.
