2/11/22: Deadline for Officer Nominations

Nominations for Executive Committee Openings

President-Elect - Secretary - Treasurer -  Education Director

Nominations are open from 1/15/22 to 2/11/22.

As per the LATA bylaws, two members must be nominated for office if the current office holder is not or can not run for re-election. 

• Nomination period 1/15/22 - 2/11/22.  Members can nominate potential candidates for office by emailing the LATA Secretary at latasecretary@gmail.com by the nomination deadline.
  
• Verification period 2/14-18/22.  Once nominations have ended, the LATA Secretary will verify candidate eligibility and acceptance of nominations.  Candidate qualification can be found at the Association Bylaws. 
• Candidates will be announced the week of 2/21/22 on the LATA web page.
• Candidate Bio Materials for web page due 3/8/22
  
• Voting period March 14-25, 2022
  
• Winners will be announced the week of March 31, 2022
  

Election Requirements:

• Candidates are asked to submit a resume as well as a video bio (three (3) minutes max) to the LATA Secretary once verified but no later than March 8, 2022
  
• Voting will be online through the LATA web page.
• Candidates will need a simple majority to be elected to the position they seek.

  • NOTE: President position alignment does not allow for incumbents to run for reelection of office.  Current President-Elect Arceneaux will move to the President position while President Dunavant moves to the Past President position.  Past-President Berthelot will complete her service to the Executive Committee at the conclusion of the Summer Business Meeting.
